Karen's husband came to visit her this weekend and to watch her play the game of Pickleball. We were glad to see him join us at the Pickleball Barbecue Outing.

It was nice to have such a large crowd join us for some good food and fun. Everyone had a great time. We would like to Thank everyone who brought a dish, dessert or some type of food item. It was greatly appreciated. In conclusion we would like to say we don't think of ourselves as a Pickleball Group but we do think of ourselves as a Pickleball Family.

H.L. Beginners Pickleball Group
A job well done. Our beginners outdid themselves playing in the Olympics this morning. They looked great, concentration was at a level high and the scoreing was unbelievable.

Highland Lakes Mixed Doubles Olympics
The Mixed Doubles Olympics were played today and it was a great success. There were ten teams playing. This is the most teams we've had since we've been Chairpeople. They all gave their best and had fun playing the game. We Thank them all for their efferts. We are proud of all our players. We want to also Thank the Judges and all who attended and cheered the players on.

H.L. Senior Pickleball Olympics 2009
Let the games begin!Today was the start of H.L. Pickleball Olympics. The Men's Doubles were the first group to play on St. Patricks Day. Our Women's Doubles will be played on Thursday.
Please note:
The Pickleball Picnic has been changed from Saturday, March 28th to Friday, March 27th.

We set up nets in the arena each day
Use paddles, whiffleballs and four people to play.
Endurance, quick reaction time are put to the test
Rotate partners, no time to rest
The competition is great, the fun begins
Eleven points are needed in order to win.
Women's, Men's, Mixed and Beginner doubles are played
For our Senior Olympics in four different days.
The dates of our Senior Olympics are:
Tuesday, March 17th - Men's Doubles at 8:30 am.
Thursday, March 19th - Women's Doubles at 8:30 am.
Tuesday, March 24th - Mixed Doubles at 8:30 am.
Thursday, March 26th - Beginner Doubles at 8:30 am.
Senior Olympic Barbecue will be at the picnic area near the Gazebo.
Friday, March 27th at 12:00 noon.
